The Dripping Springs Band Program will sponsor its 3rd Annual Drumline Contest on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Dripping Springs ISD Tiger Stadium. Our 2010 event included 15 4A and 5A high school drumlines from throughout Texas and audience attendance exceeded expectations as word has spread about this outstanding competition. It is our intent to make the Dripping Springs contest a permanent fixture in Texas outdoor percussion events. Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to ensuring the contest is an exceptional experience for all. Please plan to join us in 2011 and check this website often as we continue to plan for our September 17th competition.

2011 Participating Schools and Performance Times

• Competition is scheduled to begin between 10 and 11 AM, depending on the number of contestants.

Drumlines will be assigned a specific performance time as part of the registration process.

• Location : Dripping Springs Tiger Stadium, 111 Tiger Lane, Dripping Springs, TX

• The DSMS Gymnasium will serve as our alternate indoor rain site.

• Drumline performing units will be evaluated by a professional 3 judge panel. Our 2011 judges are:

Tim Jackson – Bluecoats DCI Battery Coordinator & Movement Designer

Bobby Lopez – Texas State University

Alan Miller – Coppell ISD and Cavaliers D&B Corps

• Drumline Registration Fee: $200

• Audience Entry Fee: $5

  Complimentary passes are provided for directors, pit crew, and drivers.

  (Limit of 10 per performing unit.)

• Concessions are available with discounted meal pre-orders offered to participating drumlines.
