High School Stuff

Members of the HS band performed at the UIL Region Solo and Ensemble contest on February 4th. The contest was held at Hays HS. Click HERE for a complete list of contest results.

The Austin Symphonic Band, under the direction of Mr. Richard Floyd, joins forces with members of the Dripping Springs Wind Ensemble on February 25th to present an evening of spectacular wind band music. The concert will be held in the DS Auditorium. Tickets for this event may be purchased from any HS band member or online by clicking HERE.

TJ Peterman and Willow Howard made the Texas Music Educators Association All State Band. They will be attending the TMEA Clinic and Convention in San Antonio February 8th-11th. The All State band will present a concert at 12:30pm on February 11th at the Lila Cockrell Theater.

All incoming 9th grade band students and their parents are required to attend a HS band orientation meeting on January 24th at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held in the HS band hall. Anyone not able to attend should contact Mr. Lancaster at keith.lancaster@dsisd.txed.net.
