DSISD Board Recognition Night: Monday, December 18th at 6:00pm in the DSISD Administration Building. Section Leaders and TMEA Area Qualifiers are invited to attend to allow the DSISD Board to recognize the Marching Band successes and the individual Area qualifiers. Be there before 6pm, we should be done by 6:15pm. Wear Show Shirt or Tiger Band Spirit Shirt.
Several student small ensembles are performing at the Western Wonderland held at Ranch Park. Thank you to all those students who are getting a great opportunity to play, rehearse and perform together and share the Holiday Spirit with the Dripping Springs Community.
TMEA Area Mock Auditions: Optional, please inform Mr. Woods if you plan to attend. DSHS Band Hall

Pageantry in the Springs (PITS) Update
The Volunteer Leads are moving and grooving in preparation for Pageantry in the Springs coming up on Saturday, Jan 27th, and I’m SO thankful for them!! You will have an opportunity to donate hospitality items AND work a volunteer shift (doors, concessions, timing, parking, tickets, etc) in January, and WE NEED YOU! Thanks in advance for your generosity with your time and talents.
We are still in need of a few Doctors, RNs or EMTs who can share the duty of being our official First Aid responder on contest day. PLEASE let me know if you meet this criteria and can volunteer for a few hours, or if you know someone!!
There will be a PITS Planning meeting on January 8th at the DS Band Boosters Mtg @ 6:30pm. Any interested people are welcome to attend!

Senior Photos Needed
Attention senior parents! I have started working on the senior books and we need your photos! Please send in pictures of your kiddos from freshman to senior year to nicolermoore@yahoo.com.
The photos must be high resolution, no screenshots or texted images please- they will turn out fuzzy. If you can tell me your students name and what year for each picture so we will know how to group them we’d appreciate it. Some have sent separate emails for each year for their child and I have gotten a Google doc with them organized and that works great too.

Uniform Update
The Winter Concert was a tremendous finishing touch to a terrific band year!
Many, many a Thank You for all of our Student Uniform Room Volunteers, Our Kubby Keepers (including our Alternates), and all of the students who take home their parents Kubby section and return them to the Uniform Room. We also want to thank all of the Chaperones who helped plume and deplume during all the games and competitions.

Epic Fun - Please RSVP
Remember when our kids marched around Belterra when Texas was hotter than the surface of the sun, and I promised them that anyone who met their fundraising goal of $300 would get to go back to Epic Fun? They do!!
The event will be Friday night, January 19th from 6:30-9:30. If your student qualified for the event, you’ll be getting an email from me with details and an RSVP!
HEB Gift Cards Fundraiser Info
As we head into the holiday season, we want to thank all of our band family for pawticipating in the HEB cards fundraiser!
If you aren’t in the mix already, please consider adding this to your 2024 To-Do list. It really is so easy to purchase gift cards that can be used for groceries, gas and prescriptions and our band will benefit. If you are already participating, perhaps it’s time to consider increasing your monthly amount. I know my cards get used quickly with our busy household!
