Amy Austria is a clarinetist, educator, and composer in central Texas. She received her Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Texas State University in 2021 and has been teaching privately since. She also studied and received a minor in music composition at Texas State. Amy was a finalist in the Texas State concerto competition in 2017 and 2018, and was the principal clarinetist of the Texas State Wind Symphony from 2018-2021. She has taught clarinetists in Bastrop ISD, Hays CISD, San Marcos CISD, and Dripping Springs ISD. She is also an active composer & arranger. Amy’s teachers include Dr. Vanguel Tangarov and Julie Linder.
