Ms. Garza is an oboist and private lesson teacher in central Texas. Based in Buda, she has been growing
her private oboe studio since 2022. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Louisiana State
University in 2019 and a Master’s degree in Oboe Performance from Texas State University in 2021.
During her graduate studies, she mentored the TXST oboe studio in reed making and was the principal
oboist in both the TXST Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony. She has also performed at the
Renova Music Festival in New Castle, PA and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, MI. Her former
teachers include Ashley Guillot, Johanna Cox-Pennington, Jane Gabka, and Ian Davidson.
