SSMS Band is hosting an optional and free Summer Band Camp for 7-8th grade members. This is different than the college hosted band camps we mentioned in previous emails. Here are the details:

- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, August 4-6th
- 11:00 am – 1:00pm (with breaks)
- Zoom link for the camp to be sent to Skyward emails
- Students may attend any and/or all days
- Attendance is optional and free…but what a great way to start the year and see friends again!
Activities will include:
- Preparing an SSMS Band Camp Virtual Concert! The first-ever!
- Visit with friends, play some fun games (or just watch)
- Learning new music
- Reviewing important skills needed for the school year
Students should have:
- A device to access Zoom (computer is highly recommended). Devices can be provided by DSISD upon request if needed.
- Instrument and supplies
- Headphones are also highly recommended
- A good computer microphone is also handy if you have one, but not necessary
